I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to scramble for a cap when I’m ready to dispose of a needle. It’s like they think we all have a stash hidden away. I just ran into this issue again during a shift at the clinic yesterday and it was so frustrating. Why can’t they just package them together? It’s not like we don’t need them.
It’s wild, right? It’s like they assume we’re all hoarding caps like some rare collector’s item. I’ve found that keeping an extra stash in my bag helps, but it’d be nice if the companies thought to throw a few in with each box.
I totally get the frustration! I had that happen yesterday too, and it really slows you down when you’re in a hectic clinic. It’d be a game changer if they threw a few caps in with the needles — like, how hard can it be? @jupa574 Maybe we should suggest it to the suppliers.
I hear you! It’s so annoying when you’re mid-shift and can’t find a cap. I started keeping some in my scrub pockets, but they should really come bundled.
