What if we could automate blood draws

I’ve been thinking about the future of phlebotomy tools and what happens if automation really takes off. I recently heard about a new machine designed to draw blood with minimal human intervention, and it made me wonder where this technology could go next. Could it improve patient comfort or even increase efficiency in busy clinics?

Automating blood draws could really cut down wait times in clinics — i wonder how the accuracy compares though?.

But , I can’t help but wonder about the accuracy of these machines too… A friend of mine is testing a prototype, and they say it’s great for speed, but the human touch often catches issues that machines miss. It’d be interesting to see how the cost and training for staff would play out if this really took off! Anyone else heard of similar projects in development?

And it’s interesting to think about how automation could change patient experiences. From my experience, a more personal touch during the process can really help ease anxiety — something machines can’t replicate yet. Have you seen any data on how these machines handle different patient demographics?
