We saw a brief bump in short draws and some hemolysis, but it settled once we kept the tubing in a loose straight loop (no sharp bend at the hub) and lowered the angle to about 10-15° with tourniquet release as soon as flow starts. The faint flash is real - using a small discard tube to prime the line (especially before light blue) and watching for the subtle backfill in the proximal tubing makes entry easier to confirm.
Keeping the first inch of tubing straight with a finger (loose loop, no bend at the hub) knocked down our short draws — the flash is shy but it flows. @DrawKira you ever toss on a small discard tube when the flash is iffy?
