Navigating burnout in tech

I’ve recently found myself hitting a wall at work, feeling completely drained after weeks of back-to-back deadlines. It got me thinking about how we can better address burnout in our industry. For me, taking a short walk every day has made a big difference — just 15 minutes can help clear my mind. Anyone else?

It’s wild how much a simple walk can help reset your brain. I try to change up my scenery too; even just stepping outside for five minutes can make me feel like I’ve hit the refresh button. Have you noticed any particular spots that help clear your mind?

Sometimes, it’s like our brains need a quick reboot just like our tech; i’ve found that switching tasks for a bit can also help — maybe a quick doodle or a chat with a colleague? Have you tried mixing it up that way, @victoria-wea32?
