Tested a Zebra ZQ610 for bedside draws on 3 West last night and it shaved about 12 minutes off a 20‑patient round with zero relabels — has anyone rolled these out unit‑wide, and what happens if this scales? Curious about battery life and Wi‑Fi drops before I ask our manager to buy three more.
I’ve found that keeping the printers charged overnight helps with battery life during shifts. Just be aware that if you’re in a spot with a lot of users, the Wi-Fi connection can get flaky, so testing it during peak hours might be a good idea. Have you tried seeing how well it handles printing from multiple devices?
Totally agree with @asanchez81 about battery life. I found that using a dedicated charging dock at the nurses’ station keeps things powered up without the risk of forgetting. Have you checked how long the battery lasts during a full shift?
