Keeping donors safe while moving the line

How do you keep a first-time donor relaxed and safe while still landing an 8–10 minute whole blood draw on a 16g without slowing the chair turnover? I pre-load my tray, double-ID check, use the diversion pouch before the main bag, keep chatter going, and coach leg-tensing, but I’d love tiny workflow tweaks that save a minute without sacrificing reaction monitoring or site integrity.
