Anyone else timing their draws? I wear the tourniquet like a wristband, pre-fold two tape tabs on my badge, and keep a capped holder ready so a four-tube 6:10 a.m. draw clocks in under 90 seconds — what micro-hacks are shaving you a few more?
Pre-peel a corner of the bandage and park it on the tray so it’s one-handed after tubes, and I flip the tourniquet the second I see flow — “off within 1 minute” keeps the numbers happy while the clock keeps running. Anyone stashing gauze under the tourniquet for a quick slide-in at needle out? Feels like a tiny pit crew, but I’ll trade 2 seconds to confirm tube order if it’s a multi-draw.
I stick a pre-cut 4" Coban strip to my glove cuff so as I pull I press gauze and wrap in one motion — no paper peel, but I still glance at tube order before the second tube, @cosc168… You team Coban or fabric?
That 6:10 ‘under 90 seconds’ run is solid — I pre-open a 2x2 and park it between my ring and pinky on the anchor hand so the instant I see flash I pop the tourniquet and press without tray fishing ()… @cosc does that Coban trick behave on hairy arms or do you get complaints?
