I’ve always wondered how much impact the gauge of a needle really has on blood samples. I’ve heard that larger needles can sometimes hemolyze the blood, which can’t be great for tests. What has been your experience with needle sizes and sample integrity? I guess it depends on what you’re testing for, but it feels like there’s a lot of room for debate?
