Common phlebotomy myths to bust

I’ve heard so many misconceptions about phlebotomy lately — like the idea that it should always hurt. It doesn’t have to! What are some myths you’ve come across in your practice?

, this drives me nuts too! I’ve definitely heard that ‘it always has to hurt’ myth — it’s just not true. With the right technique, it can be quick and even barely noticeable.

I totally get where you’re coming from! One thing I’ve found really helps is making sure the patient feels relaxed — if they’re tense, they’re more likely to feel discomfort. Have you tried any specific techniques to help ease their anxiety?
